We had Reagan's Birthday last Sunday afternoon! It was a gorgeous day, we couldn't have asked for better weather. Reagan wanted a Micky Mouse cake for her birthday, so that is what we did. We had maid rites, fruit salad, potato salad (none of which I made- thanks moms/grandma) chips, snack mix, cake, and ice cream. Reagan got a lot of wonderful gifts, she couldn't wait to open the next one. When the presents had run out, she cried a little because she wanted just one more! We sang happy birthday and ate cake. Reagan got the Minnie Mouse figure that was made out of PURE SUGAR!! I let her have it for a while, then tried to take it away and she screamed... I chose not to battle her on that one since it was her party. Here are a few pictures from that day:

Birthday Celebration (Part 2)
Birthday Day...Part 2!
After nap it was time for us to give Reagan her presents. She couldn't wait to open each one! She even opened her arms wide in anticipation of the "Big one" as she called it.

It was the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!! It came with all the annoying songs and sayings from the show!! Which she loves so I guess we will learn to love. Hot Dog, Hot Dog, Hot Diggety Dog!! (if you don't get this you need to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!)

After playing with some of her new inside toys, we took her out and gave her one more present! It was a little 4-wheeler that she can drive around. We talked about getting her one, then decided not too, then a co-worker had one for sale- so Reagan got one! She loves it! She had a hard time at first keeping the button pushed down (I was worried she might get whip lash!). She eventually figured it out, now we are just working on steering :)!

My baby girl is 2!! (Part 1)
It happened...I can't believe it... I am still trying to figure out where the time went... REAGAN turned 2!!! Jon and I took off work to spend the day with Reagan. We went in her room and sang Happy Birthday to her as we got her out of bed. She told us she wanted a juice box for breakfast... so she got it!
After breakfast we got ready and headed to the Science Center in Des Moines. We took her around to see and play with everything. We went to toddler town where she ran and ran, she sorted some fruit and veggies....
Then she hit the mother load of BUBBLES!!! Reagan was in heaven!
We looked at stars, stared on TV and threw balls and watched them launch. Reagan had so much fun seeing everything! We could stay in one spot too long (except the bubbles) because something else would catch her eye.
It was Jon's idea to take Reagan to her first IMAX experience. (I was a little hesitant because the last time I went to an IMAX I was pregnant with Reagan and I kept my eyes shut the entire time!!). It was "Under the Sea" and only 40 minutes long, so we figure we would give it a shot. She sat between us, but then quickly climbed up on Jon's lap! She got excited to see all of the different fish and would repeat the commentating to us. She even got up to dance for part of it. I couldn't believe how well she did (a few suckers might have helped though too!). We took Reagan to the gift shop and she picked out a yellow snap bracelet with a turtle on it. (She later got it taken away because she was trying to eat the eyes off of it!) It was a great morning!
Next we got Chicken Nuggets and French Fries, another request! Then headed home for a much needed nap!!

Updates
I have been a little absent from my blogging lately. There are a few things to update you all on! First of all...
WE ARE HAVING A BABY!!!!
Mark February 14 on your calendars...We found out in June and tried to wait to tell anyone... (that lasted about a day!) I have been to the doctor, had 2 ultrasounds (just for fun, nothing wrong with the baby) and heard the heartbeat numerous times. We have tried to explain it all to Reagan and she gets it a little bit. She seems to think that baby Parker (my best friends little boy) is in my tummy. The baby is measuring right were he/she should, so lets all hope there are no big snow storms in February!! (Or the end of January for that matter!) This baby doesn't stay still as we saw on the ultrasound both times. My pregnancy has been a lot different than it was with Reagan. (Jon is secretly hoping that means boy, although he would never admit it.) So we will keep you all posted on the newest member of the Remsburg Crew!
Jon had shoulder surgery
Jon has had ongoing problems with his left shoulder over the past year. After many attempts to fix it without surgery, he went under the scope. He had it done about 4 weeks ago (I know I am behind) and is doing great. We checked into the hospital at 6:30am and were on the road back home by 10:30am! He had a scope done to fix some bone spurs and messed up cartilage. (I don't know the medical terms for any of it although the doctor talked to me like I did!) He took 2 days off work to heal up. He has been doing great and is starting to gain more movement in his arm. He can't lift yet so that is putting a little damper on his time with Reagan, but he is getting pretty good at handling her with just his right arm. Reagan helped take care of daddy's "owie" and gave him lots of love to get him on the road to recovery. At his follow up appointment the doctor said everything looked perfect!!
Cousins Weekend 2009: We Rocked the HOUSE!!!
The Remsburg cousins started a tradition a few years ago of us girls getting together for a kid free/husband free weekend! This year, we decided to invite the kids and husbands a long!! The weekend started out with us meeting at the Blue Moon Dueling Piano Bar in West Des Moines. This was a kids free night (woo-hoo)! We ate lots of food, everyone drank and chatted away. It was a fun night. The pianos were fun to listen too. I even caught Jon singing along! The night ended a little early for us (due to Jon's shoulder and working the next day, and my pregnancy). We headed home while everyone else headed back to Joe and Holly's.
We rejoined the group on Saturday. The guys went golfing in the morning (Jon worked) and the girls went to the park with the kids (minus me and Reagan). I met up with the girls to do some shopping. We headed to subway for lunch (yum!), West Glen shops, and Jordan Creek Mall. We all walked away with some packages in our hand so it was a good day! We headed back to Heather and Guthrey's for a bbq! All the kids and husbands (Minus Talia and Brian :( ) were there. We hung out outside, watched the kids play on the swing set, chased Monsters, listened to singing, ate food, ate more food, and had a great time. Here are some pictures from the weekend:

Maddox is helping Reagan out with a push (He is older ya'know, by 12 hours)
