Reagan's Thankful Tree

  • Every year in November we do a Thankful tree with Reagan. I like to think it helps teach her about appreicating the things she has in her life. Some of the things she listed this year were :
  • Family
  • Friends
  • Mickey Mouse
  • The color Pink
  • Christmas Jello
  • Butters
  • Gingerbread Houses
  • Toys
  • Princesses
  • Zoo
Reagan loves the thankful tree and still asks about doing thankful leaves. I looked forward to hearing what she was thankful for everyday.

On a side note- she told Kamryn one day that if she didn't start being good she was going to "X" her off her thankful tree!!

Springfield Zoo

The day after Thanksgiving we headed to the Springfield Zoo. It was AWESOME!!  The weather was gorgeous. We had fun seeing all the animals. Reagan thought it was hilarious watching an elephant pee. I liked the hippopotamus. Kamryn liked walking! After the zoo we got some lunch and did a little shopping.
Saturday we just hung out at the house and played. It rained a lot and was getting colder. Saturday night we drove through a park in Ozark that is decorated for Christmas. It was really neat. Reagan rode with my brother, sister-in-law, nephew and his girlfriend. Apparently she was pretty gassy on the drive!  When we got back we packed stuff up and got ready to head home Sunday morning. It was a GREAT weekend!!

Thanksgiving 2011

This year we did Thanksgiving a little different. Jon had to work on Thanksgiving day and all the days surrounding it. So after much discussion I decided to head to my brothers is Missouri with my parents and the girls of course. I am SO glad we went. We missed Jon a lot while we were gone.

We left Wednesday about 1pm. The girls did great in the car. They slept, played, and watched movies. This was the longest Kamryn has been in the car so I was a little nervous!! We got to their house about 8pm. Kamryn fell asleep about 10 minutes from their house and she was ready to go once we got there. We unloaded the car and let the girls run while we visited and got things ready for Thanksgiving. The girls and I slept in the same room and it worked out great. Kamryn did so good, compared to other times we have stayed away from home, and Reagan wasn't too bad too.

My brother worked an off duty shift Thanksgiving night so he had a little fun with the girls before we left!! We had a great Thanksgiving!  We ate a lot, took the girls to the park as it was 60 degrees out, played some games, and watched some football.
