California Adventure Park (Day 4, Part 1)

Wednesday we decided to go to California Adventure Park. It was the HOTTEST day of the summer in California! We took time to take a few pictures before we left the hotel.

California Adventure Park had a lot of the Pixar Characters there. Once we got inside we headed toward the Tower of Terror. We got sidetracked by a Disney Junior show. Me, Shanon, and mom took Michael and Reagan in for the show. Jacob and Kamryn were asleep in the strollers and they would not allow strollers in. Becki stayed out with the babies while we watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Jake & the Neverland Pirates, Handy Mandy, and Little Einsteins LIVE! There was a lot of singing and dancing. While we watched the show Jon and Dad rode the Tower of Terror and then Jon and Becki rode it. Everyone had fun and got to do something (except for sleeping babies!) Then we headed to It's a Bugs Life!

It's a Bug Life was an area based off the movie. Reagan and Michael rode a couple different rides with Dad and Jon (notice a theme :). We rode bumper bug cars and then Reagan and Michael cooled off in some water areas! I was tempted to run through myself!!

Next we headed to the new Ariel ride. I thought Reagan would LOVE this. All you do is sit in a shell and it follows the storyline of the movie. Reagan did ok, but was not a huge fan of Ursela and didn't not want to ride it again. Kamryn loved it (mostly cause it got her out of the stroller and it was cooler on the ride than outside!) Kamryn and I rode twice!

Reagan and Michael got to see some characters while we were there. Here are some pictures!

Poor Jacob finally got out of the stroller and his mom filed his nails! He looks a little annoyed!!

The purple car is where my mom, Jon, Michael, and Reagan were. They rode the Ferris wheel and the seats rocked! They had to hold onto the kids so they wouldn't fly around- the kids loved it!!

This was a theme today- LOTS TO DRINK! Mom and Becki came back with lots of liquids!!

This next picture is hilarious! Earlier in the morning Jacob at a little blowout on my dads shorts, here is did it again! My dad was holding him when we were getting ready to go and this is what he found!! Jacob got him again :) I am still laughing about this. Jacob got stripped down and had a wipes bath, and dad went to the bathroom to clean off his shirt!

After everyone got cleaned up we headed to one more ride before leaving for a air conditioned break! We rode a water raft ride (Grizzly something or other!). Shanon and Becki stayed with the babies! We had fun and Mom got the wettest. Michael and Reagan laughed and had a great time!

Jon won 2 dumbos while playing a game. One for Michael and one for Reagan. Reagan sat there and waited for what she won. She thought they said Gumball instead of Dumbo so when they handed Dumbo over she started crying saying she wanted a gumball. Michael named his dumbo "Gumbo" to combine gumball and dumbo- too cute!

We headed back to the hotel for a little rest and then we got ready to head back to Disneyland for the parade and then again to California Adventure Park for a night water show!

Parade (Day 3, Part 3)

The parade started at 7pm, so Shanon suggested we get our seats by 6:15pm. We took the shuttle back and met up with Dad and Jon. Shanon had the perfect spot and we snatched it up with our parade of strollers. We had about 45 minutes until the parade started so we took turns taking kids to rides. Jon and I took the girls along with Becki on an Alice in Wonderland Ride. Kamryn loved it! 

 The parade was amazing! I felt like I am a permanent smile on my face just watching how much the kids enjoyed it- even Kamryn! She danced through the ENTIRE parade! Some of the characters walked, others rode on floats. There was loud music playing and everyone was dancing. It was so much fun!

The park closed at 8pm so we had time for one night ride. Dad and Jon took Reagan and Michael on the Merry-Go-Round. It was cool the see everything lit up at night!

Day one was a SUCCESS!!! We got back to the hotel and got kids bathed and let them play until bed time. Kamryn was taken for her nightly stroll to get her to sleep and Reagan and Michael watched a movie. Michael was talking to Reagan toward the end and I looked over and she was OUT! Bed time for everyone! It was a great day and we were ready for our next adventure- California Adventure Park!!

PRINCESSES (Day 3, Part 2)

Sometimes they say timing is everything... Well we couldn't have timed this any better. Cinderella was walking out of the castle to go somewhere when she stopped and took a picture with a little girl. Then she grabbed Reagan's hand and they walked down a path all by themselves. Reagan was BEYOND excited. She just had a huge smile on her face. Reagan just kept staring at her. It was so cute to see.

 If this was all we accomplished while we were there Reagan would have been happy. Lucky for her it wasn't! We waited in line and got to meet a few more princesses. This was not as exciting as I thought but for her it was. We walked through a garden and the kids each got their own time with the princesses. She met Sleeping Beauty, Tiana, and Cinderella (again) with the Fairy Godmother. Reagan was most excited to see Tiana. Michael was excited to give Cinderella a hug but wanted nothing to do with the Fairy Godmother.

This was so magical for Reagan.. she loved every minute of it!!

DISNEYLAND (Day 3, Part 1)

Our first official day at Disneyland was a HOT one! 97 degrees! We got to the park shortly after if opened. We rented strollers for Michael and Reagan and we were off! The first place we went to was the Buzz Lightyear Target Shooting ride. Michael was VERY excited to take Reagan on this ride. Reagan wasn't so sure. She ended up not liking it. The ride was a game where you shoot at targets like Buzz trying to destroy Zurg. Reagan said she didn't like Zurg. She would ride this at least 2 more times (on different days) and cried each time.  Everyone else had a blast trying to score more points than each other!

Not sure who had more fun- the kids or grandparents!!

Next Reagan and Jon rode on this ride. Reagan had fun on this one! While they rode on this ride I hung out with Kamryn and Jacob and everyone else did the Buzz Light Year ride!

We happened to be at the right place at the right time! We got front row seats to a show with the Disneyland Marching Band and Mickey and Friends!! This was a great show. The kids had fun watching and dancing. Mickey, Donald, Chip & Dale, the Mad Hatter, Alice, and Pluto were a few that joined in!  Kamryn got to shake Donalds hand and she wasn't scared at all. Donald also kept tickling Jacob's feet in the stroller. It was a great show!

We headed over to Toon Town where Mickey and Minnie Live. Reagan met Minnie and walked through her house. Mickey wasn't there but we walked through his house too. There was a little roller coaster the kids loved and rode a few times with Jon, Dad, and Becki. They had HUGE smiles on their faces!! Here is a picture of Jacob who was also happy to get out of his stroller!!

Kamryn was also excited to get out and run around in Toon Town! Here she is testing out Minnie's chair!

After Toon Town we met some princesses (which will have its own post) and then we headed back to the hotel for a few hours of down time and cooling off time! Once we got to the hotel Kamryn ran around in her diaper just excited to be out of her stroller! The kids watched a movie and we relaxed and got something to eat. Then it was time to head back for the parade. Dad and Jon stayed at the park and "played" during this time. We all met up when we got back and it was like two little boys in a candy store!
